ここは、奄美大島の北東に位置する、あやまる岬。
この場所に立つたび、不思議と心が軽くなります。
光も、風も、海も、そして雲までもが、どこか特別な輝きをまとっているように感じられるのです。
今回は梅雨明け直前に奄美を訪れたため、湿度が高く、朝は深い霧に包まれる日が続きました。
思うような景色に出会えず、少しもどかしい時間も過ごしました。
けれど、この日は梅雨明けの翌朝。
夜明け前、深く澄んだ蒼い空がゆっくりと広がり、やがて太陽が姿を現すと、太平洋の海は黄金色の光をまとって、きらきらと輝き始めました。
遠くからは、アカショウビンの澄んだ美しい鳴き声が響き続けています。
太平洋から昇る朝日は、どこまでも雄大で、おおらか。
その光景を眺めていると、自然の大きな営みに包まれ、心まで晴れやかになっていくようでした。
ここに美しき日本があります。

This is Ayamaru Cape, located on the northeastern coast of Amami Oshima.
Every time I stand here, I feel an unmistakable sense of peace.
The sunlight, the breeze, the sea, and even the clouds seem to shine with a special brilliance.
I visited Amami just before the end of the rainy season, so the air was heavy with humidity, and the mornings were often wrapped in thick mist.
For several days, the conditions were less than ideal, and I found myself waiting for the landscape to reveal itself.
But this was the morning after the rainy season had finally ended.
Before sunrise, the sky was filled with a deep, crystal-clear blue.
As the sun slowly rose above the Pacific Ocean, the sea began to sparkle with golden light.
In the distance, the beautiful song of the Ruddy Kingfisher echoed through the morning air.
Watching the sun rise over the vast Pacific, I was reminded of the quiet grandeur and generosity of nature.
It felt as though my heart, too, was quietly filled with joy.
